CSA Visas now easier ?

I heard about a USMLE Step 2 CS Visa lawsuit won by an Indian Foreign Medical Graduate sometime ago, who was denied a visa for the exam (cant be 100% sure of the authenticity of the news). Apparently, the argument was that if students were allowed to take the Step 1 and Step 2 CK exams at International locations - it was unfair and unethical that a visa for CS is denied - considering that CS can be taken ONLY in the USA. Indeed, a strong argument which won him/her a case on ethical grounds!

As I hear, CS visas are now being granted more freely - but on a single-entry basis for the exam.
Soooooo.....what do you fellas think ? Good news for sure - This is a downside - before this happened, the ones who got lucky with a visa , got a multiple-entry visa , but now it will be a single-entry pass !

And Here is the notice on the US Department of State Website regarding the request by the ECFMG to allow travel visas for the Step 2 CS Exam.

Hmm..........evolution of systems.....

Hi Digitaldoc.
I have applied for a B1/B2 visa to give the cs exam. I have been rejected twice already and the third time i was issued a pink slip under section 221g. It has already been five months since my interview and they still haven't given me an answer.
Could you give me some advice on what i should do to obtain a visa to get to the US. I don't think i can give my cs exam in time to have a fair chance in the 2008 match. I want to get some USCE before i apply for the 2009 match.

if u cleared step 1 and 2 ck u can appear for nzrex clinical and after passing u will be granted the newzealand citizenship , work as an intern for 1 year which is very appreciated in us as clinical experience and from newzealand apply for cs visa again which i think will be easier

Yes - he will still need to do a 2 year HRR or find a waiver job - and that applies even if he/she married a US citizen
